You know that your Porsche has Bluetooth® capability, but how do you engage it? The good news is whether you own an Android or iPhone, the connection process is quite simple. Follow the instructions for each below, and you’ll be set to play music and talk on the phone — all while driving safely.

Step-by-step: Setting up Bluetooth® in Your Porsche

Pairing Your Bluetooth® with an Android Device

To start the pairing process between your smartphone and Porsche vehicle, please make sure the transmission is in Park.

Locate “Settings” on your Android phone and tap “Wireless and Network.”

  1. Tap “Bluetooth® Settings.” Once there, make sure Bluetooth® is enabled. If it’s not, simply turn it on with one touch. Also, make sure your phone is “Visible” to all devices.
  2. Push the physical “Phone” button inside your car, directly below the touchscreen.
  3. If your Android does not automatically detect the vehicle, tap “Search for Devices” then wait and select “PCM.”
  4. Once you select “PCM” on your Android, the car will display “Accept” or “Deny” followed by a prompt to enter a four-digit code. Click “Accept” and enter any 4-digit code.
  5. This is an arbitrary code which is used to pair the device. Select four numbers and then enter the same code when prompted on your Android.

You should notice the Porsche display “transferring phonebook,” indicating the successful pair of the device.

Pairing Your Bluetooth With An iPhone Device

  1. Locate the “Settings” icon on your iPhone and then tap “Bluetooth®.”
  2. Make sure Bluetooth® is enabled. If not, simply turn it on with one touch.
  3. Push the physical “Phone” button inside your car, directly below the touchscreen.
  4. The iPhone automatically searches for a Bluetooth® signal, so don’t click “Find Telephone” on the Porsche touchscreen.
  5. On your iPhone, you should see “PCM” listed in “My Devices.” Select it.
  6. Once you select “PCM,” the car will display “Accept” or “Deny.” A prompt to enter a four-digit code will follow. Click “Accept” in your Porsche and enter a four-digit code.
  7. This is an arbitrary code which is used to pair the device. Select four numbers and then enter the same code when prompted on your iPhone, followed by “Pair” in the upper right corner.

You should notice the Porsche display “transferring phonebook,” indicating the successful pair of the device. You are now paired and ready to rock.
